The Lifetime Movie Network recently renewed "The Haunting Of" for another season. The popular paranormal program premiered on October 27, 2012 and returns June 21, 2014 for its fifth season with 13 new one-hour episodes airing every Saturday, Broadway World reported this month.
"The Haunting Of" first aired on the Biography Channel and moved to the Lifetime Movie Network for its third season. The show is hosted by psychic-medium Kim Russo and is a spin-off of "Celebrity Ghost Stories" which also airs on the network. Russo interviews celebrities that have encountered paranormal phenomena and whose lives have changed as a result of it.
In the fifth season premiere, Russo sits down with "Desperate Housewives" actress Vanessa Williams at her home in rural New York. Williams talks about her experiences with paranormal activity and enlists Russo to help her remove the negative spirits in her home.
"'Each one-hour episode of 'The Haunting Of' will feature celebrities’ real life encounters with the paranormal as they return to the site of their traumatic experience. During these gripping journeys, Kim Russo unlocks the secrets that haunted each celebrity and explains the unexplained. Kim also unveils shocking psychic moments and surprising personal revelations as she tunes into the celebrities’ personal lives and connects with their loved ones who have crossed over," according to the show's description on the Lifetime Movie Network's website.
Russo also meets with celebrities Vince Neil of Mötley Crüe, comedian and talk show host Tom Green, "Desperate Housewives" actor Jesse Metcalf , "Dancing with the Stars" actor Valerie Harper, "Sopranos" actor Joey Pantoliano, "Happy Gilmore" and "Boardwalk Empire" actor Christopher McDonald, "Glee" actor Dot Jones, and others.
